Camelot is a very small neighborhood (it is actually a subdivision) that is located in Mesquite, Texas. It has a land area of .03 miles and only 39 people live there. The average household income is fairly large when compared to the average in all of Mesquite. For this reason, it is considered an affluent part of the city.
Considering the size of this neighborhood, it would seem that there would not be much to do in the immediate area, but this is not the case at all. Here are a few things that one can do if they are in Camelot and want to have a good time:
– The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is reasonably priced and it is a place that can be enjoyable for the entire family. Keep in mind there is a policy in place that allows you to visit again at no charge if rain makes it impossible to relax and enjoy everything.
– White Rock Lake is the place to go if you are outdoorsy and you want to spend some time rowing. While there are other activities that can be enjoyed there, rowing is the one that seems to be the most popular. You can also consider sailing and enjoying the scenery if this is not something you are interested in.
– George W. Bush Presidential Center is a museum that celebrates the life and times of the former President. The property includes eateries, a museum store and 15 acres of park. The actual building is more than 200,000 square feet, so there is more than enough for every visitor to see.
While there are other things to do in the area, this offers a few options to those who are struggling trying to find ideas. Even though the area is small, it is clear to see that it is possible to have a great time without traveling too far from there.
